We were fortunate to get the opportunity to test a new emergency protocol for neonatal resuscitation with a group of surgeons and other medical staff at the Surgical Training for Austere Environments course which was held at the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London.

The feedback was excellent with higher levels of confidence, more tasks completed and useful feedback that we'll use to improve the service.  We hope to use this as a spring board for field trials at the Groote Schuur hospital in South Africa later in the year.
