What This Privacy Policy Covers

This privacy policy pertains to the use of the MedNav Ltd. web site at https://www.mednav.org/ and MedNav Ltd. mobile apps. This privacy policy covers what personal information MedNav collects from its users and how it treats such information. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number.

People under the age of 16 who use MedNav services must obtain an express consent from their parent or legal guardian, who must make an informed decision about the use of MedNav services and MedNav Ltd. privacy policy.


Information Collection and Use

Personal Information

MedNav collects personal information when you register with MedNav via MedNav web site or from any of our mobile apps. When you register, we ask for your email address and certain other information such as your name and optionally the name of the company you work for or represent.

General Information

MedNav automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie, and the page you request. MedNav uses this general information for the following typical purposes: products and services provision, identification and authentication, services improvement, service usage research and reporting. Any use of such general information is non-attributed and as such will have no association with you, your unique id or personal data such as email address. When you use MedNav mobile apps, if you grant the apps access to your geo location, this location will also be reported to MedNav.

IP Addresses

IP Addresses are automatically reported by your browser each time you view a web page or a mobile app request communicates with our back end servers. Your IP address is stored in our logs when you use MedNav web site or mobile apps. IP addresses may be used for various purposes, including: to diagnose or service technology problems reported by our users or engineers that are associated with the IP addresses controlled by a specific web company or ISP; to estimate the total number of users using MedNav from specific geographical regions.

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, which is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set.

If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to use MedNav products or services that require you to "sign in", and you may not be able to take full advantage of the MedNav service or mobile apps. MedNav may use its own cookies for a number of purposes, including: to access your information when you "sign in"; to keep track of preferences you specify while you are using MedNav services.

Geographical Location

When you use MedNav mobile apps, if you grant the apps access to your location, your geographical location will be shared with MedNav.  This information will be disassociated from your account and will only be used for analytical and reporting purposes. Location sharing is optional and the app functionality will not be affected if you decline to share your location.

Mobile Apps Usage Logs

When you use MedNav apps, the log of your usage activity will be uploaded to the MedNav servers. This information is used to allow you to review your usage in the future.  MedNav also uses this information in aggregate form to understand how our service can be improved.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Any information received by MedNav while you use MedNav services or mobile apps is not shared with any other users unless you use MedNav as part of a registered organisation, in which case information sharing is controlled by that organisation.

It may be necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities, including without limitation, fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of MedNav's terms of use, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

We may transfer information about you if MedNav Ltd. is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, MedNav Ltd .will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the MedNav web site before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

No personally identifiable information will ever be disclosed or used in any way without your expressed permission unless required by law and compelled to do so by a competent legal authority.

Editing and Deleting Account Information & Security

You can update your MedNav Profile at any time. Your MedNav Profile is password-protected. If you would like to permanently delete your account, please contact us.

We may send you certain communications relating to the MedNav services, such as service announcements and administrative messages, which are considered part of your MedNav account.

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

Change to this Privacy Policy

MedNav Ltd. may update this policy at any time for any reason. If there are any significant changes to how we handle personal information, we will send a notice to the email address specified in your MedNav account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
